research task 5

my target audience should be people between the age of around 16-30 but in reality music doesn't really have an age however the predominant target audience will fall between the age of 16-30 however other people may read the magazine if they wish to. to read this magazine you may be female or male however you will find that more men likes rnb/ rap than women, therefor perhaps the magazine would have a greater appeal to the male gender. the audience would perhaps like the brands in which the iconic stars promote for example kanye west fans would perhaps like the brand yeezys, fans try to follow the footsteps of their role models, so they tend to like whatever brand the superstar promotes or wears. my target audience would like r and b/rap as the magazine is going to be focused on them genres. this magazine is aimed at everyone it don't matter about the class they are in you can be upper lower or middle class, however statistically you would find that middle class people are the main people who would be buying the product.

on this double page spread their as an image of wiz khalifa an iconic artist with many fans who enjoy his music and to the right their is information of wiz,  his relaxed and always smoking style is shown through the picture.

this double page spread is a page with information based on Beyonce and what her fans are thinking of her on the left hand side of the double page spread. on the other side of the page there is an image of Beyonce and the title of fiercely creative really supports the image

this doble page spread is slightly different although there is an image of the iconic singer which is jay z on the left, on the other side of the double page spread the font is smaller and their is a massive j which perhaps enhances his ego.

the cont page here is rather dark with green writing and a picture of a musician making the content unique with the dark and bright fusion of colours, the content is in chronological order which makes it easy to go through the pages, also form the contents page you can see that there are varying different artists suggesting that the magazine is based for different types of music.




this contents page they have gone for a slightly different format in terms of the way in which it is laid out there is a picture of oasis in the middle of of the page with references to the different pages on the outskirts oif the left hand side of the page. the picture of oasis could entice the readers.

this contents page is featured by kanye west, his image takes up most of the contents page, this sort of enhancers his personal reputation as everything has to be about kanye, the references to the pages are much smaller than the actual image.

they have used three specific colours throughout the front cover, black yellow and white to attract the consumers eye and try and make them buy the product. the large white bold title of of vibe is very eye catching and also drake is a huge iconic figure therfor has many fans who would want to buy the magazine.



this magazine cover is predominantly black and white however the title is more of a red colour therefor attracting the buyer to look at the title and again jay z is when of the greatest rappers in modern day music there for attracting people to buy the magazine.

uses and gratification theory is an approach to understanding why and how people actively seek out specific media to satisfy specific needs.UGT is an audience-centered approach to understanding mass communication. it assumes that audience memebers are not passive consumers of media.

bbc worldwide is the wholly owned commercial subsidiary of the bbc, formed out of a restructuring of its predecessor bbc enterprise in 1995. the company monetises bbc brands, selling BBC and other british programming for broadcast abroad with the aim of supplementing the income received by the bbc through the license fee. the bbc owns video publishing company 2 entertain with products dual branded 2 entertain and bbc. they also own music demon group and many other things.
