evaluation question 3

A media institution that comes to mind when promoting a product would be the Bauer company, it is an influential media company that could really promote the product in which I have produced, the company has been around for a long period of time and therefor have major experience in dealing with music magazines. i feel that this company would be perfect in ensuring that my product could be efficiently sold, not only that but because of the monopolistic power in which they posses it means that they already have a strong brand image that could only lead to a high number of sales.

evaluation question 2

My media product presents different social groups in different ways but it is mostly focus on the younger generations, in a modern society you don't often link R&B and rap with people over the age of 30, it is mostly aimed at the younger generations mostly between 16 and 30, however with my magazine it is aimed at different people, there is diversity within my models to show that there isn't going to be a concentration of focus on a specific social group. I have used Yashvi as a female that could attract other females into reading the magazine. I have used Rob and Elias as a black and white model to show that the magazine is not aimed at a specific race, there is no colour when people listen to music, anyone can listen to whatever they want.

evaluation question 1

my media product is a typical magazine that you find in everyday day life. it is composed of different  factors some that are used in almost every magazine, the main thing is the contents pages that are used in almost every magazine, and also the use of colours and images on the front cover of the magazine to entice the different members of the audience. this magazine was configured in your typical magazine structure, it was done this way to not complex the magazine. my target audience are fans of the rap and r&b genre therefor it would be easy to make the magazine simple rather than making it complexed then the target audience not being able to understand what is going on. I feel that my media product is slightly subverting the typical hd photography, this is because i felt that the project should be more linked to the audience and that they should get more of a real life representation, so the audience could really get more of unique connection with the magazine.

All the photos have different features that could be applied to my magazine, there will be different uses for each photo for example the picture of elias in black and white will be my front cover.  Another use for  the other photos could potentially be used within the content pages or they can be used next to statistical information.

All these photos could be used as backgrounds for my models to pose, they are simple but they are a good space and the right cool/ scenery to get the vibe in which i want.

photo shoot planning

this image is used as it has correct lighting on the face and the skin so it is really showing the features of the charectar  and the pose is really suitable for the magazine

this is another really zoomed in photo which focuses on the expression of the character and is good for the magazine as rap and rand b involves a lot of thinking and this character is showing that he is thinking a lot 

this is a more sophisticated approach as most singers in the music industry are wealthy, although rappers have a different approach during their videos, they are often dressed well when they are out, so this is the appearance in which their fans see.

this is another pose in which rappers use it enhances their focus towards their fans from the facial expression 

the famous kaka point to the sky celebration is a symbolic celebration in football but I thought that it would suit my magazine

this is a different approach more of a natural setting with a well focused emotion, this will allow the fans to understand his fans 

planning props/ costume list

during the photo shoot there has to be a vibe which conforms the rappers sort of style, so using different props and different sort of costumes there will be the right environment that you would expect from a rappers lifestyle.So for different models they would all wear a different attire, this would potentially diversify the magazine and the photo shoot  and therefor enhancing the quality of the magazine.

the black coloured skinny jeans would be really useful in the magazine as it is a colour that is easy to match with various different tops. this colour could be used for more than 1 model depending on the different costumes in which people are wearing.

the gold watch is an item that is necessary for this magazine, this is mainly due to the fact that within the rapping industry many rappers oftenly wear flashy watches, this is eye catching and it will entice people to look at the rappers typical lifestyle 

the gold chain is a typical item in which rappers wear, it is almost a symbolic item within the rapping industry, may rappers wear this to enhance the bad boy look to them

i have opted to choose elias as a model due to the fact that he resembles the rappers appearance of being a coloured male, in the rapping industry you will find that most rappers are a black male, he has the perfect appearance for the approach i am making with this magazine.

rob is another model that I will  be using as he has got the serious look in which rappers posses and in a modern rapping industry he has similar features for example the use of the big flashy watch. he would be perfect for my magazine as there is a use of diversity aswell as he is caucasian, so the magazine will subvert the stereotypical black rapper.

time line

this is a calendar showing when tasks would be done, such as photo shoots and class work and revision for the course work, this would help me achieve my targets, as it would remind me of when i have to do my work
